What is WHOIS Privacy?
WHOIS Privacy is a service available for some domain names that will only show generic information, protecting the domain contact's identity. The WHOIS Privacy service is intended to protect the registrant for legitimate purposes.
WHOIS Privacy is an add-on service to domain registration that is provided by Leaseweb only on our customers' request. Customers will need to confirm the involved costs and the Terms and Conditions associated to this service.
What are the WHOIS Privacy costs?
The cost for the WHOIS privacy is €12 per year per domain name. The service charge for WHOIS Privacy will be billed on an annual basis for all domain names using this service.
TLDs for which Leaseweb provides WHOIS Privacy
The WHOIS privacy is currently available for the below listed TLDs:
For .nl domains, the contact information visible in WHOIS database will only include the contact's name and email address.
We do not provide a WHOIS Privacy service for .nl domains, but if needed you can contact directly the .nl registry (SIDN) to request an opt-out from having your contact details listed in WHOIS database. Please check with SIDN for more information: https://www.sidn.nl/a/nl-domain-name/opt-out-requests
