They can be delivered in Shared or Dedicated racks.
Leaseweb will do the initial configuration based on your requirements and then you take over responsibility for managing the device (e.g. monitoring, back-ups, checking Security Advisories, firmware upgrades, changes). Leaseweb can provide the latest software versions to you and will replace defective equipment.

Dedicated Switches
Dedicated Switches are networking devices that connect servers/computers or other devices on a computer network by using packet switching to receive, process, and forward data to the destination device. The term commonly refers to a multi-port network bridge that processes and routes data at the data link layer (layer 2) f the OSI model.

Dedicated Firewalls
Dedicated Firewalls are network security systems that monitor, and control incoming and outgoing network traffic based on predetermined security rules. Firewalls typically establish a barrier between a trusted internal network and untrusted external network, such as the Internet.
Firewalls are generally designed to protect network traffic and connections, and therefore do not attempt to authenticate individual users when determining who can access a particular computer or network.
Dedicated Firewalls can be installed in the same Shared Racks and Dedicated Racks where your servers are hosted or can be installed in special Firewall/Load balancer racks, where they can be connected to your servers via the Private Network.

Dedicated Load Balancers are hardware devices that facilitate the load balancing process for most computing appliances, including computers, network connections and processors. It enables the optimization of computing resources, reduces latency and increases output and the overall performance of a computing infrastructure. They sit between the client and the server farm accepting incoming network and application traffic and distributing the traffic across multiple back-end servers using various methods.
