Recovering a Public Cloud instance

To recover an instance from an Acronis backup or boot in rescue mode we provide ISO images that can be attached to the instance and booted.

Provided ISO images:

• Acronis Recovery Boot Media
• Grml

Booting instance from an ISO

1. Go to your Leaseweb Customer Portal account.
2. From the menu, select Public Cloud, choose your instance, and click Manage instance.
3. Go to the Recovery tab in the instance overview page
4. Click on Attach Recovery Image and select an image.
5. The ISO image is now mounted to your instance.
6. Boot your instance from the ISO by stopping the instance and start it up again.
7. Click on Stop, wait till the instances has stopped.
8. Click on Start to boot up the instance from the ISO.
9. Click Connect to open the web console and view the operating system from the ISO.
