Using the Leaseweb VPS web console

Using the Leaseweb VPS web console

The remote console works as a “virtual terminal”, almost like a computer monitor (screen) attached to a server which you can use to interact with your operating system along with your keyboard and mouse. Once your Leaseweb VPS is delivered to you, you will most likely use the console as your first interaction point.

The remote console is also helpful when for any reason you are no longer capable of accessing the server through other methods.

Console actions

There are additional actions within the sidebar to send to the terminal, such as copying/pasting a password or sending the ctrl+alt+del command.

Accessing the VM Console

To start the Leaseweb VPS web console:

  1. Login to the Customer Portal and choose Virtual Private Server -> Leaseweb VPS
  2. Click on a VPS and click on Manage VPS, to go to the Management page
  3. On the Overview page, click Connect.
The console starts automatically and will prompt you to enter the credentials to gain access to the VPS over the terminal session.
