Managing Emails


From the Customer Portal, you can view and manage your mailbox, email aliases, and autoresponders. You can also add a new email account and email aliases. All these features are only available if you have a Web Hosting pack or an email pack with LeaseWeb.

You can also access your inbox, set autoresponders (“vacation”), and change your password from https://webmail.leaseweb.com.



Viewing your mailboxes, email aliases, and autoresponders

  1. In the menu bar, under the Domains section, select "Email".
     
     
  2. Your Email Domains list is displayed. From here you can view and manage your existing mailboxes, aliases, and autoresponders.

Managing a mailbox

You can view, edit, and delete your mailbox.

Viewing/editing a mailbox

Perform the following steps to view or edit a mailbox:

  1. In the menu bar, under the Domains section, select "Email".

     
     
  2. From the Email Domains page, in the "Mailboxes" column, click the mailbox link for the domain name mailbox that you want to view/edit.



  3. From the Email overview page, click the "Edit Mailbox" icon.

     
  4. You can change the Anti-virus/SPAM option, change the password, and activate/deactive the mailbox by switching the on/off button. 


  5. To change the password, click on "Update Password". The password fields will expand. You can both create yourself, typing in the password and confirming it, or choose to "Generate Random Password", by clicking the corresponding button. When you generate a random password, it will be automatically copied to your clipboard.


  6. Click the “Save” button.

Deleting a mailbox

Perform the following steps to delete a mailbox:

  1. In the menu bar, under the Domains section, select "Email".


  2. From the Email overview page, under the "Mailboxes" column, click the mailbox link for the domain name mailbox that you want to delete.
     
     
  3. From the Email overview page, click the "Delete" link.
     
     
  4. You will need to confirm the changes. Once confirmed, the mailbox will be deleted.

     


Managing an email alias

You can view, edit, and delete your mailbox aliases. 

Viewing/editing an email alias 

  1. In the menu bar, under the Domains section, select "Email".


  2. From the Email overview page, under the "Aliases" column, click the aliases link for the email alias that you want to view/edit
     
     
  3. The email alias features will display. Click “View/Edit”.


  4. You can change the destination address, Anti-virus/SPAM option, and activate/deactive the email alias by switching the on/off button.


  5. Click the "Save" button. 

Deleting an email alias

Perform the following steps to delete an email alias:

  1. In the menu bar, under the Domains section, select "Email".


  2. From the Email overview page, under the "Aliases" column, click the aliases link for the email alias that you want to delete.


  3. The email alias features will display. Click the "Delete" link.
     
     
  4. You will need to confirm the changes. Once confirmed, the email alias will be deleted.

     

Managing an email forward

You can view, edit, and delete your mailbox forwards.  

Viewing/editing an email forward  

  1. In the menu bar, under the Domains section, select "Email". 
     
  2. From the Email overview page, under the "Forward" column, click the forward link for the email forward that you want to view/edit 
     
  3. The email forward features will display. Click “View/Edit”. 
     
  4. You can change the source and destination addresses, Anti-virus/SPAM option, and activate/deactive the email forward by switching the on/off button. 
     
  5. Click the "Save" button.  

Deleting an email forward 

Perform the following steps to delete an email forward: 

  1. In the menu bar, under the Domains section, select "Email". 
  2. From the Email overview page, under the "Forwards" column, click the foward link for the email alias that you want to delete. 

  3. The email forward features will display. Click the "Delete" link. 

You will need to confirm the changes. Once confirmed, the email forward will be deleted.  Image Added 


Managing autoresponders

You can view, edit, and add autoresponders.

Adding/Editing an autoresponder

Perform the following steps to add/edit an autoresponder to a domain name:

  1. In the menu bar, under the Domains section, select "Email".


  2. From the Email overview page, under the "Mailboxes" column, click the mailbox link for the domain name to which you want to add/edit an autoresponder.
     
     
  3. Under the "Auto-responder" column, click the link to the autoresponder you want to add/edit.
     
     
  4. Add/Edit the “subject” and "body" for the autoresponder. Set "Active" to "ON".
     
      
  5. Click the “Save” button. 

Deleting autoresponders

Perform the following steps to delete an autoresponder:

  1. In the menu bar, under the Domains section, select "Email".


  2. From the Email overview page, under the "Mailboxes" column, click the mailbox link for the domain name from which you want to deletet an autoresponder.
     
     
  3. Under the "Auto-responder" column, click the link to the autoresponder you want to delete.
     
     
  4. Click on the "DELETE" button
     
      
  5. You will need to confirm the changes. Once confirmed, the email auto-responder will be deleted.

Adding a new mailbox

Perform the following steps to add a new mailbox:

  1. In the menu bar, under the Domains section, select "Email".

      

  2. Select the domain to which you would like to create a new mailbox.


  3. Click “Add new mailbox”.
     
     
  4. In the "Add new mailbox" page, for the Mailbox field, enter the mailbox name. 


  5. For the password, you can both create it yourself, typing in the password and confirming it, or choose to "Generate Random Password", by clicking the corresponding button. When you generate a random password, it will be automatically copied to your clipboard.
     
     
  6. Select an Anti-virus/SPAM option that you want to use for the mailbox.
     
     
  7. You can activate/deactive the mailbox by switching the on/off button.
     
     

  8. Click the “Save” button.

Adding an email alias

Perform the following streps to add an email alias:

  1. In the menu bar, under the Domains section, select "Email".
     
     
  2. From the Email overview page, under the "Aliases" column, click the aliases link for the email alias that you want to add.
     
     
  3. Click “Add new alias”.


  4. Select the alias SOURCE and DESTINATION.



    The source address is the email alias that you want to use, while the destination address is the target mailbox. 

  5. Select the Anti-virus/SPAM option that you want to use for the email alias.


  6. You can activate/deactive the email alias by switching the on/off button.


  7. Click the "Save" button. 


Adding an email Catch-All

Perform the following streps to add an email catch-all:

  1. In the menu bar, under the Domains section, select "Email".
     
     
  2. From the Email overview page, under the "Catch-All" column, click the "Set" link for the email domain to which you want to add the catch-all.
     
     
  3. Select the catch-all DESTINATION.


    The destination address is the target mailbox for all non-specified email addresses in your domain. 

  4. Select the Anti-virus/SPAM option that you want to use for the email catch-all.

  5. Click the "Save" button.
