DNS Query

What is a DNS Query

A DNS query is a request from a client, typically a browser, application, or system, to a DNS server to resolve a domain name into its corresponding IP address or retrieve other DNS record information. You can check the DNS query made for a domain from the Leaseweb Customer Portal.

Filtering DNS requests for the domain

  1. Login to the  Leaseweb Customer Portal
  2. Click on the Hosting
  3. Expand the domain that you want to check the DNS query for
  1. Click Manage Domain under the Actions Menu
  1. Click DNS -> DNS Metrics from the menu
  1. Select the Granularity, From date and To date to check the DNS query for the domain
  1. Click Filter Metrics to get the result
  • The Y-axis represents the number of DNS queries for the domain
  • The X-axis represents the period of the DNS query requested for the domain
