Spam policy

This article explains LeaseWeb's spam policy, it is enforced on all LeaseWeb customers

Spam policy

LeaseWeb has a zero-tolerance policy for unsolicited bulk email and unsolicited commercial email (UBE/UCE, or "spam") - including such unsolicited mail from its customers, clients of its customers, and/or subcontractors. LeaseWeb defines UBE/UCE as unsolicited broadcast or commercial email that is sent to addresses that do not affirmatively request such material from that specific sender, including but not limited to advertising, surveys, information, third-party spam, website addresses, sales, and auctions.

Authorized promotional email

Dutch law applies for promotional email sent through our mail platform, it's two key principles are:

  • Recipients must be able to unsubscribe

  • You are required to keep an confirmed opt-in agreement from each listed email address

If you have a Bare Metal server or virtual server, local law applies for the country it is hosted in.

Shared webhosting platform

All outgoing mail sent from this platform is queued and scanned, to allow spam runs to be detected and blocked quickly. If you plan to send more than 5000 emails at once form a shared webhosting product, please inform LeaseWeb in advance.

Any third-party spam reports will be acted upon by any means deemed necessary.
