Dedicated Network Equipment

If you want to control and predict the performance, Leaseweb offers Dedicated Network equipment.

Dedicated Network equipment are:

  • Switches
  • Firewalls
  • Load balancers

They can be delivered in Shared or Dedicated racks.

Leaseweb will do the initial configuration and provide root access to the customer. After the delivery, the management of the dedicated network equipment remains with you.

Leaseweb offers Network Management Packs if you want Leaseweb to manage your network equipment. For more information, please see the article about Network Management Packs

Dedicated switches

Dedicated Switches are networking devices that connect servers/computers or other devices on a computer network by using packet switching to receive, process, and forward data to the destination device. The term commonly refers to a multi-port network bridge that processes and routes data at the data link layer (layer 2) of the OSI model.

Our switch range consists of two brands:

  • Juniper Networks
  • Arista Networks

Juniper switches

  • EX2200-48T (48x GE ports UTP + 4x GE SFP)
  • EX3300-48T-BF (48x GE ports UTP + 4x 1/10GE SFP/SFP+)

Arista switches

  • DCS-7050TX-48-R (48x 10GE UTP + 4x 40GE QSFP)
  • DCS-7160-48TC6-R (48x 10GE UTP + 6x 100GE QSFP)
  • DCS-7050SX-64-R (48x 10GE SFP + 4x 40GE QSFP)

Dedicated firewalls

Dedicated firewalls are network security systems that monitor and control incoming and outgoing network traffic based on predetermined security rules. Firewalls typically establish a barrier between a trusted internal network and untrusted external network, such as the Internet.

Firewalls are generally designed to protect network traffic and connections, and therefore do not attempt to authenticate individual users when determining who can access a particular computer or network.

Our firewalls range consists of two brands: Cisco, Juniper. Both brands provide high quality firewalls, but they offer different options in terms of: VPN (Virtual Private network) client and CLI (Command Line Interface).

Load balancers

Dedicated load balancers are hardware devices that facilitate the load balancing process for most computing appliances, including computers, network connections and processors. It enables the optimization of computing resources, reduces latency and increases output and the overall performance of a computing infrastructure. They sit between the client and the server farm accepting incoming network and application traffic and distributing the traffic across multiple back-end servers using various methods.

Load balancers range consists of one brand: A10 Networks
