    Simple origin

LabelDefines the Label (custom name) of the Origin.
    Origin

Defines the URL (HTTP) of the customer’s source, on domain level.
    Example: http://source.example.com
Content will be pulled from the customer’s origin and cached on the LeaseWeb CDN network when it is served to end-user for the first time. A request for http://static.example.com/file.jpg will be fetched from http://source.example.com/file.jpg and cached on the platform.

    S3 Object Storage

    Endpoint URL

The URL to the S3 endpoint including the access protocol (http or https).

    Leaseweb example: https://cloudstorage.nl.leaseweb.com

    Amazon AWS example: https://s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com

    Bucket Name

The bucket name for the S3 storage. It will be joined together with Endpoint to produce the URL like: https://Bucket Name.Endpoint URL.

Bucket names need to follow S3 naming convention.

Advanced settings for adding an Origin

When adding an Origin, you need to set the following advanced settings:

Cache Settings

Field NameDescription
CDN cache timeout

Sets the cache expiration time. This is the time that the content from the origin is cached on the LeaseWeb CDN.

The content is cached on the CDN platform. For content that changes frequently, you can set a lower value. For stable content, you may set a higher value.

Origin Cache Control

Ignore Origin Cache Control values set by the Origin and use the CDN values.

When set to inactive we will respect the cache timeout in the HTTP cache control headers provided by the origin. Files without HTTP cache control headers will be cached for the time configured.
